Do therapist have therapists?
Are you a therapist who would like to address your own challenges and improve your well being?
I love working with other counselors. At any given time anywhere from 20-40% of my practice is made up of other therapists. I am a seasoned provider who is passionate about investing in my field by supporting my colleagues. I love providing therapy for therapists.
Counselors come into therapy for all sorts of reasons. From addressing their own family of origin issues, improving their personal relationships, healing trauma, dealing with burnout or vicarious trauma from work, even getting support around challenging cases and practice building. By caring for yourself as a counselor you are also providing a valuable service for your clients by honing your "counseling tools."
If you are looking for a confidential, supportive environment where you can feel safe getting your own therapy after a week of caring for others, look no further. I would love to help. My theoretical orientations include an eclectic mix of emdr, ego-state/IFS, psychodynamic, narrative, family systems and polyvagal interventions. I am also trained in holistic medical mental health. I have had a private pay practice for 17 years and would love to support you in your journey and healing. Your own self-care can mitigate the toll that caring for others takes on our brains and bodies.
For graduate students and pre-licensed counselors remember your therapy hours usually count times three towards your licensure and I offer student and pre-licensed discounts.

I have been in private practice for over a decade. A big part of my work has been serving other therapists both as a personal counselor and business coach. The main challenge so many therapists face is work/life balance. I highly recommend Simple Practice to other clinicians for its ease of use, convenience for therapists and their clients and value. But most importantly it frees therapists up to do therapy and automates so many of our time consuming administrative tasks. Use the link below for a free 30 day trial and $50 off your first month and get back to focusing on therapy.
